BagTag glossary
The same words appear in setup, dashboards, emails, legal documents, and this guide. These definitions keep every role aligned.
A–Z definitions
- Active
- A resource that is currently allowed to participate in the public or operational flow. Draft, paused, suspended, expired, rejected, and archived resources are not active.
- Anonymous session
- A random browser identifier used for aggregate public-page measurement. It is not a family account or player profile.
- Authorization
- The reviewed evidence that an authorized league officer approves use of BagTag for that league.
- Award claim
- The adult-submitted record connecting one player, team, scheduled game, and award slot to a verified email.
- Award slot
- One claimable recognition position created for a specific team in a specific game. Its uniqueness prevents two verified claims for the same award.
- Batch
- A production quantity of physical tags that share one stable QR and connect to one recognition program.
- Claim window
- The time before or after a scheduled game when its award slot can be selected.
- Coach handoff code
- A short private code for one award slot, given by the coach with the physical award. It is required in addition to the shared batch QR and changes after a claim or reservation is released.
- Commitment
- A sponsor's submitted statement of interest and proposed terms. It is not an online payment or proof that funds were received.
- Consent record
- Versioned evidence of an adult's yes or no choice for a particular optional media use.
- Entitlement
- The single digital right created after an award claim is verified. It can become available, pending redemption, redeemed, expired, or revoked.
- Highlight
- League-curated public recognition content that is separately created and published from approved, permitted material.
- League
- The youth-sports organization operating a separate BagTag tenant, program, public pages, staff, and local business relationships.
- Location PIN
- A private rotating code used by participating counter staff when an offer requires location confirmation.
- Organization
- A sponsor or reward-partner business with its own staff workspace and one or more league partnerships.
- Partner
- A local business that provides and honors an approved reward offer at participating locations.
- Program
- The league's named recognition rules, claim timing, schedule links, batches, public page, and reward campaign.
- Public display name
- The limited name used in an optional highlight, normally a first name and last initial, when separately permitted.
- Redemption
- The final one-time confirmation that a selected reward was honored at a particular participating location.
- Reward campaign
- The time-bounded set of offers available to verified awards in one program.
- Reward option
- One approved benefit, with its locations, restrictions, purchase requirements, dates, and availability.
- Sponsor
- A business that financially or materially supports the recognition program and receives approved brand presence plus aggregate reporting.
- Tenant
- A league-isolated data boundary. Staff access and resources are checked against the current league.
- Verification link
- A short-lived, single-purpose email capability used to prove control of the address. It should never be forwarded.
- Withdrawal
- A recorded request to stop an optional publication or use; it does not erase required security, legal, or audit evidence.
